American Crafts Challenge - Retro Picture

Here is a layout for the new American Crafts challenge -- Scrap a Retro Photo. This challenge made me realize how few photos I have from my high school years and even fewer that I'm actually in. I guess I need to check with old friends to see if they have me in their pictures. Also what a bad camera we had back then. I also rediscovered a lot of little square pictures that all have this orange tint to them. Those were mostly from the 70's. What was up with that!?!?!

Anyway, this was a fun challenge and I had a great time walking down memory lane!

Supplies:

American Crafts Teen papers, AC Rootbeer Float vinyl thickers (with Cuttlebug white sugar glitter on them), misc chipboard letters covered with various colors of Cuttlebug sugar glitters, Memory Makers brads.

Shelly -- see Blogs I read (Left of Center) -- inspired me to "Wreck This Journal" with her.

I started off the year a little creativley blocked, but this really helped me open up and realize, whatever you do is ok -- even great! And it's just fun.

Below are a couple of my pages.

I can't help it. I was inspired and can't stop looking at ads for ideas! I happened to see the following ad and really wanted to lift it.

So I hope it's not against the AC rules to enter twice!

For American Crafts Challenge

This is my first post -- and the first time I'm posting for a challenge. I'm such a newbie!! I usually just play along with challenges but never submit -- So I'm trying something new!

I'm also trying to figure out the best way to photograph, edit and post the images -- What am I getting myself into!

I found this challenge when I recently signed up for Twitter ( which is new to me too) and started following American Crafts. The challenge is to create a layout based on your favorite ad. This ad reminded me that I wanted to try and do a grid-like layout. So here it is!

Supplies: American Craft Amplified Paper Pack, AC Green House Martha small plastic flowers and AC Ginger mini marks Rub-ons
